It is also during this period that Igor Stravinsky starts to produce his best work. His music is filled with passion and is somewhat freeing, more than before he began the triste with France's most well known designer. As with any deceptive affair, the couple is soon caught by Igor's wife and the affair comes to an end.

Their entire family, including themselves, can not face the truth. Vince Rizzo, Garcia's character, is a corrections officer and longs to be a big star. This revelation is a secret he wants to keep from his family and hides his weekly acting classes as best he can.

This little film was nominated and won the audience award at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival, the year the movie was made. This is a very prestigious award because it comes from those who are attending the film festival, everyday movie-goers and critics alike all had something great to say about this film. As with most film festivals, distributors bring their newly printed films in order to generate talk or buzz about their project. Since the film won the audience award, people really seemed to like this movie about a dysfunctional film where everyone can keep a secret.

Everyone in this dysfunctional family unit is hiding something from the rest of the family, a large secret that they believe would destroy their parents and the way everyone things about them. The performance of the drama coach of the elder Rizzo is done by Emmy Award Winner Alan Arkin from Little Miss Sunshine. He, too, has several secrets he's keeping from the rest of those on screen.

When creating a story, a screenwriter needs to ask themselves 'why today'? What is so special about this day or this time in the family's life that makes a movie interesting. The title of the movie is named after a small town that actually exists on the outskirts of the Bronx's and is rich in family traditions. There seems to be no 'outsiders' living in the actual community and parents and grandparents pass down their homes to their children when they become too old to care for them. This town used to be a shipping retreat and basically only those in the Bronx and Manhattan know about it, until now.

On the way to meet a friend in a nearby town last night, I spotted a car that appeared to have crashed onto a tree. I pulled up by the roadside and grabbed a few vehicle emergency kits.

Based on the back ground of mafia and police tussle, this movie inculcates the audience with introducing not one but two double crossers of which one is a good cop and one is a cop, gone rogue.

This story is a summary of betrayals and thrills all coming together under the umbrella of the traditional rivalry between the mafias and law enforcing agencies. Similar movie genre always seem to depict a cop integrating within the criminals to identify and capture their heads and bosses. In this case the twist is that the mafia prepares their lad to land in the midst of the law enforcers to spy for them.

Billy is a Massachusetts police graduate who plays his generic mafia ties to win trust and respect when he is inducted in the mafia as a double agent for the cops. His background and family cult relation makes him an easy amalgamation within the Irish American mafia and also helps in gaining reliability within the cult sectors. This helps him in knowing what is being planned and he accordingly tips off the police regarding them.

While Billy is busy in spying on the Mafia, Collin Sullivan is the mafia installed spy in the law enforcing agency. Like Billy, Collin also is sharp and moves quickly up the police ranks to become a respectable special investigation unit officer. This unit is the actual operative one against the Irish American cartels receiving tips from Billy. Collins unique character of double playing the police as well as the mafia is perhaps the only thing that makes this movie stand out of the normal gangster type ones.

Later on in the movie, it becomes clear to both the bad guys and the good guys that they have some leaking point in their respective gangs and groups. The two double crossing agents find themselves in desperate struggle to uncover the other moles identity in order to prove themselves as innocent. Now this is the point that the film gets really interesting and gains the action and thrilling momentum in which both these double agents are on the verge of jeopardizing with their mates and fellows in their respective gangs.

The last half of the film is the one in which all the puzzle pieces begin to fall in place. The departed cannot be rated as an ultimate action thriller but you can say that it is action drama at its very best. The last scenes mainly focus on the arriving collision and betrayal unveiling between Collin and Billy and hence it is action and suspense filled.

The final scenes of the movie show Billy trailing Collin in order to arrest and reveal his true identity to the police department. The intimacies of all these times make Billy ask Collin to take the immunity offered by the police department in case he was apprehended. The final round comes when Billy and Collin end up in a scuffle with Collin killing Billy.

The departed is a classic action and drama flick that focuses yet again on making truth, honesty, and good deeds as the final winner. There are a lot of moments within this movie that can make you grasp your breath due to the suspense and drama. All in all, it is one of the best flicks ever when we talk about two thousand six releases.

Its a Wonderful Life may well be Frank Capra's masterpiece. It is the film where his positive outlook on life, his humanity, his humane portrayal of the characters, shines through most brightly. All of Capra's works present his philosophy on life and love, but this film defines that philosophy, and still stands as the greatest Christmas movie of all time.

The nostalgic inner child in you may disagree and cite A Christmas Story or How the Grinch Stole Christmas or even It's Christmas Charlie Brown! The cynic in you will jokingly cite Die Hard or Lethal Weapon as the greatest holiday film ever made, but those sides of you are both wrong! When it comes to a holiday film, you need to go with your heart and soul, and that points you towards It's a Wonderful Life.

The film deals with the darker side of the holidays, the depression, the self pity, the nihilism, despair and disappointment that so few filmmakers have the courage to address. In fact, the second act begins with Jimmy Stewart, the warmest and most friendly actor in history, attempting suicide! To start from such an incredibly low point takes confidence.

Capra digs Stewart's George Bailey a pit of sadness and pain, and watches as he learns to live again and climbs himself out. This is true positivity, true life affirming hope. Any old lifetime channel original movie can be positive and optimistic by simply never facing the hero or heroine with any challenges, but Capra knew that the only time optimism counts for anything is when the whole world is telling you to only see the worst side of things.

The movie ranks alongside Rocky as one of the greatest "happy tears" films of all time. If you're not shedding them by the end of the film, then sorry, but... What the heck is wrong with you? Any real, live human being can't help but at least feel a little moisture in their eyes when the bell rings and the angel gets its wings. It is simply a matter of optimism triumphing over negativity.

Interestingly, the film was a flop on release. The director had always been a popular, money-making film maker, but for some reason, this one just didn't grab the movie-going audience. Of course, the movie has since become one of the most successful of all time on video, DVD, second runs and, of course, cable, but at the time, it almost sank Capra's career.

Film legend has it that Capra had pegged Stewart from the start and would accept nobody else in the lead. Not true. In fact, he WANTED Henry Fonda, but Stewart was a close second. Fonda would have been a great lead in Bailey's shoes, but Stewart owns and defines this role better than any other actor possibly could have. We can imagine what might have been, but we can't imagine loving Bailey so much as anyone but Stewart.

There were a number of alternative endings considered, but none of them would have been as satisfying as the way the story wraps up in the film... Except maybe the Saturday Night Live sketch where Bailey leads the whole town to Potter's house to give him a comeuppance... Interestingly, this ending, while a spoof, was nearly the same as an alternative ending that was actually filmed!

Wade, the father in law, actually aims to kill the kidnappers and get his daughter without giving them the money at all.

The whole thing gets botched, and Wade ends up dead and one of the kidnappers is seriously wounded. He leaves with the whole million, and buries what isn't the 80,000 that his partner is expecting. Back at the hideout, the wounded kidnapper learns that the other killed the wife. They begin to argue over who gets the car and soon the one who was already wounded is dead as well.

The police arrest the other, as well as Jerry for orchestrating the whole thing. The film is a depiction of the debauchery of money, the deadly levels that it can drive people to. In the book, it is difficult to jump back and forth between the different parts of the Fellowship. The movie does this well and also allows us to get to know other important characters as well. It makes it more interesting for the audience to see the bravery of Eowyn of Rohan, the cowardice of Golum and other pivotal characters.

There are many fantastic scenes in this movie such as the Battle of Helm's Deep. This battle takes place when the humans of Rohan take shelter in a stronghold which then comes under siege. An overwhelming force attacks them and it is only the arrival of elven warriors which allows the humans to survive. That in itself is miraculous as we learn that no elf has fought with a human since they last battled Sauron a thousand years earlier.
