The Advantages Of An Under Counter Fridge

By Don Allen

While the average family has always used a full sized refrigerator there is currently a trend to re-do kitchens and go for an Under counter fridge. It has been found that this allows a lot more counter space in the kitchen that was formerly wasted by a bulky one. By changing they have gained more counter space and no longer have to have the majority of kitchen space taken up by appliances.

Another place where these refrigerators are ideal is in the built-in patio area. This area has the bar-b-cue grill, sink, counters and other arrangements for outdoor cooking. Having such a fridge built in allows the drinks and salads to be kept in a cold place, even on a very hot day.

Many of the modern homes being built have include a bar in their family room. This is a very convenient place to entertain guests but needs ice and cold drinks on hand. This fridge fits in very nicely under the mixing shelf. It is out of sight, yet saves the host or hostess from continually having to go to the kitchen for the needed additions when serving drinks.

Many apartments just do not have the space for a large sized fridge. The under counter model is ideal in such situations and also fits in very nicely in studios or other places where one is working. The people living and working in these quarters like to have cold beverages and other things on hand but want to reserve the space a large one would require.

Busy offices are an excellent place for this type of refrigeration. It allows personnel to have snacks and cold drinks when they are taking a break. In addition, many executives have a fridge in their office for their own convenience and for meeting with clients or guests.

The Under counter fridge is very well constructed, the majority with stainless steel front with colors are available. This eliminates any possible problem with chipping or damaging of the outside cover. They are designed to fit snug against the wall or can be built into a counter. There are a number of sizes to choose from and come with one or two doors.
